The Nanotechnology Education and Research POE is an innovative integration of an academic program, a research agenda, technology transfer to industry, public outreach, and national and international collaboration among researchers. Each member of the associated interdisciplinary team of faculty leads efforts on one or more projects related to these program components. These projects include development of new courses and course modules, research on photovoltaics, thermoelectrics, and biological processing of nanoparticles and quantum dots, as well as establishment of partnerships with industry leaders such as Caterpillar.
