Gender Equity

Performance Objectives:

• The teacher candidate will define the meaning of gender equity.
• The teacher candidate will characterize the types of teacher-student interactions that are indicative of a failure to provide and sustain gender equity.
• The teacher candidate will list at least five types of gender-linked psychological differences that can affect learning.
• The teacher candidate will characterize those classroom activities and atmosphere that support gender equity.
• The teacher candidate will list two activities that support gender equity.
• The teacher candidate will define what constitutes sexual harassment and/or misconduct.
• The teacher candidate will list three ways sexual harrassment can be elimintated from the classroom.
