Admission Profile
Admitted freshmen for the 2008-2009 academic year:
- Eighty-five percent of our new admitted freshmen have a high school GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
- Forty-five percent have a GPA of 3.5 or higher .
- Twenty-six percent achieved a 3.75 GPA or higher.
- Eleven percent have a GPA of 4.0 or greater on a 4.0 scale .
- The middle 50 percent of admitted students earned ACT composite scores of 22 to 26 and the average GPA was 3.45.
- Ninety-two percent of undergraduates are 17-24 years old. The campus is 58 percent women and 42 percent men.
- There are more than 20,000 students enrolled at Illinois State and the student teacher ratio is 19:1.
