Student Performance Objectives:

  • The teacher candidate will provide an overview of the Modeling Method of Physics Instruction for high school students.
  • The teacher candidate will identify sources of teaching materials for the Modeling Method of Instruction.
  • The teacher candidate will distinguish the Modeling Method from other methods on the basis of conceptual models and multiple representations.
  • The teacher candidate will describe the stages of model development (including model development and deployment).
  • The teacher candidate will describe the general nature of Socratic dialoguing.
  • The teacher candidate will describe recommended procedures for engaging students as active questioners in Socratic dialogues.
