Modeling Method of Inquiry Presentation Guidelines

Guidelines:

  1. Visit the Modeling Method web site at Arizona State University. Go to the following URL to select a unit to describe in the next class. http://modeling.asu.edu/participants/participant.html

  2. Click on the link “Participants resources” which will lead you to a password-protected folder containing updated curriculum materials accessible by Modeling Workshop participants. You will need the following “Name” (see me) and “Password” (see me). Here you will find materials available in Microsoft Word and pdf formats. They include the following GROUPS of information:

  3. Select ONE UNIT from within ONE GROUP, download that unit’s files, and thoroughly study the materials.

  4. Develop a brief PowerPoint presentation using a PowerPoint template (PPT version) that will deal with one unit of Modeling Method of Instruction teaching resources. Please observe the following requirements:

  5. Students will use their PowerPoint presentation (based upon the template and guidelines) to deliver a talk to other PHY 310 students.

  6. The length of the student talk must not exceed 10 minutes in length, including questions and answers.

  7. You will deliver your presentation next to your class peers using your PowerPoint presentation. Please email me your  PowerPoint presentation at least 3 hours before the next class. They will be gathered together and placed on the computer we use for class so we can move quickly from presentation to presentation.
