Our group does research in nonlinear dynamics, especially applied to space and laboratory plasmas, as well as in educational aspects of computational science and nonlinear systems. We specialize in involving undergraduate students in cuttting edge research and organize our work here based on both student and faculty presentations over the last several years.

This animation shows a 3-D velocity distribution for ions in an O-type neutral line magnetic field, such as one might see in a plasmoid moving tailward after a reconnection event.
