The Summer Palace On May 25, 2002 we took a one day trip to the Summer Palace in the northwest part of Beijing. We were accompanied by undergraduate students from the Physics Dept. at PKU. |

The Great Wall of China On June 1, 2002 we took a trip in a minibus to the Great Wall at Badaling. Undergraduate and graduate students from PKU came along for the trip. We then went to the Ming tombs later on in the day. |

The Forbidden City On June 8, 2002 we went to Tian An Men Square, the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven. |

The Beijing Zoo On May 18, 2002 Jon and Zoe went to the Beijing zoo with a few undergraduate students from the PKU Physics Dept. They saw tigers, Pandas and even some Lesser Pandas. |
