7 Days Left
Today was another day full of hard work as our team stays late hours to finish the car. We encapsulated another solar array set and are scheduled to be done by Saturday night. The wing for the car was put on and tested for mounting positioning and then removed. A couple new pictures have been uploaded and more are soon to follow. We will be soldering our batteries the next couple of days.

Inspection
Today we had a previous inspector from the NASC come look at our body work for the car. He told us how we are doing on meeting requirements for the race. The wing for the car is almost ready to be put on. Wires are being laid out to be placed into the car and encapsulation process is under way. There are only 7 days left till the car is planed to be done if not sooner. If you haven't noticed we have added a new section to the website called Q&A. This is where questions are answered that we recieve via e-mail. You can send us a question if you would like by going to our contact page and filling out the form. We will do our best to respond in a timely fashion.

A Long Weekend
Well it has been a very long weekend for the team Mercury. Some of us have been here since 9:00 a.m. sodering solar cells together while others have been working in the auto shop. However because of the teams hard work this weekend we are done sodering together the solar cells and plan to encapsolate them tomorrow. We also finally have the front two wheels on the car. The team has also sealed all the gaps on the cars wings with carbon fiber. We will have new pictures of all the solar cells and other behind the scene pictures tomorrow so keep checking the for the lovely pictures of us working on the car.

Solar Cells
Well I have good news for everybody the pictures are up! However there is some bad news to go with that. They are all highres photos so the page will take awhile to load for a couple of days till we get thumbnails up for each of them. We will continue to upload pictures as we work on the car.

Today the major goal was to get threw a major block of solar cells sodered together so they can be encapsolated later. We are actully almost done with are goal as the team works behind me as I update our site. Tomorrow will be another good day of solar cells with batterie box building on the side. Well thats all the lovely news I have to report for todays work so until next time. "Finish the drive, Mercury team high five."
A New Beginning
Well folks it is about time we got this website back up and moving with lovely information about the Solar Car. First off I would like to apologize for the lack of information updates about the team and about the car. We have been hard at work building a new car from the ground up but we kept the chassis. The building started to take place back in January 2008 after ISU's winter break. We will be uploading behind the scene pictures very soon. You can expext to see some behind the scene photos in the next couple of days located in the photos section.

Body: The car build had to be changed due different rules and regulations. The driver now has to be sitting up and can no longer be laying down. A Rear motor mount has been built, new supension, and new barking breaks. Currently working on the wing for the car

Eletronics: We have built a charger for the main battery pack, wired up the lights(turn signals), battery boxes to hold the batteries. We are currently working on more battery boxes as well as the dash board for the car.
