  • Camping Trip October 2-3, sign-up
  • Picnic is a go on October 7th
    • 5-7 pm at People's Park
    • We will be getting Avanti's, sign-up in office coming soon
    • Dues get you food, there may be music too
  • Tutoring
    • Please be in 213 during the time(s) for which you signed up
    • We need a sheet for tutees to sign in on
    • Flip the sign to CLOSED when 213 is not open for tutoring
  • Trebuchet
    • We need people to go to the shop to strip down the trebuchet
    • Jim is in the shop 8am-3pm Monday-Friday
    • We will get back to you about the possibility of a Saturday afternoon

      • if you are interested in last year's shirt let us know, we will put in an order if we get a minimum of 25 shirts
      • shirts will be $16 and change for new order
      • Or talk to Dr. Jay, who will sell them to you at price

      • A contest will be announced in the next few weeks
      • It should be nerdy, but still understandable

  • Society of Physics Students
    • Separate fee
    • Dedicated to undergraduate physics students, source for scholarships, internships, and more
    • Zone meetings are held at various universities
    • Outreach is a big push
    • If enough people sign up we can become an active chapter
    • Then we can get $10,000 for being an outstanding chapter
    • separate from Sigma Pi Sigma
    • Both are excellent resume builder

      • random teams @ tables, spontaneous mashed potato/squirt gun fight
    • We are supportive, but are worried about location and complexity
    • Could be used as fundraiser/bonding
    • Super awesome if faculty come
