Do you have an extra GOTO 10 line?

I am an senior at alum of Illinois State University with double majors in Computational Physics and Mathematics. Seeing as how I work with computers a lot, I figure I ought to have some sort of Internet presence. This is it.

Flocking

Currently I am investigating flocking behavior under the direction of Drs. Brian Clark and Dan Holland. Specifically, I am looking into the transition from non-flocking to flocking behavior. To do this a Fortran simulation implementing various modifiable rules is in development. To visualize the data I am looking into the NCAR Graphics Library or possible OpenGL using GnuPlot.
In November 2006 I presented my work at the Seventeenth Annual Argonne Symposium For Undergraduates In Science, Engineering And Mathematics. Here is my abstract.
The Spring Meeting of the ISAAPT at Western Illinois University was another great opportunity for myself and a couple other students to present our research
. I also gave a presentation at the 2007 ISU Undergraduate Research Symposium. An archive of the preceedings is available and includes my abstract as well as many of my fellow physics students.

Betting Pool

Certain arrangements of the rows and columns are fair while others are not. Presently it is possible to know if a fair arrangement exists for small sized tables, up to 4x4. For larger tables, however, the number of permutations of the rows grows to quickly to even check if a solution exists. Even before attempting to find some magic equation which tells of the existence of a solution I am searching by exhaustion to find a solution. Only after having proven that an optimal arrangement exists will we further investigate the mathematical properties of such arrangements.
