Computational Chemistry Option

Description:This option provides a concentration in computation as part of a four-year chemistry major designed for students interested in graduate study in computational chemistry or industrial employment. The core of the program consists of the courses required for all chemistry majors. Beyond this, two tracks in the computational chemistry program are suggested: one track with an emphasis on physical/computational chemistry, and a second track with emphasis on biochemistry/computational chemistry. Both sequences provide electives which lead to an American Chemical Society certified Bachelor's degree. Required/recommended courses for each track are listed separately, along with sample course sequences for both tracks.
